Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the change in wha+t kind of things Christian people are proud of nowadays?
- Parents:
Their car, instead of their child.
Their job, instead of their faith.
-Teens:
Their brand of clothing, instead of their charactor.
Who's music is louder, instead of who's music praises Christ.
We are proud of things that make others look at us, make others think we're really something. It had gotten so bad, that Christians have thrown aside what God has told them, for what the world has told them. Since when has this been something to be proud of, please tell me, because I just don't understand it.
The way of the parents, is what the child will see and do. What you say, and how you act is, in your childs mind, "right" and "acceptable." Why then, do we not strive to be like Christ, who is our father? You follow Him, take after HIM, you won't ever have to be worried about it being wrong. We are TOLD to be "Christ-like." When is the last time you have? Have you "forgotten," or created excuses for not doing what's right? I don't think it fully sticks in everyone's head, that God is everyone, non stop, 24/7....never sleeps, never leaves. The question to ask now, is, do you think God would be saddened by how you're showing people who He is? We are to show Christ THROUGH us....so, are you? Who are you making proud. Christ, or the world?
