The power of prayer

We often underestimate the power of prayer; we simply do it without expecting any results. Do you know God still works today, still does miracles? Remember what Jesus said when he arose from the grave? John 20:29 "blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." We often believe something because we have seen it, but as Christians we should know that having faith in God and what He says, enough to trust that He will answer prayers. No, He may not always answer them according to WE think needs to be done, but God knows all things, we don't, He will do what is best even though we may not understand why He did it a certain way.
I can't imagine NOT living in a Christian home, sometimes I wish I just knew how people felt so I could help them through certain things, but I don't know how they feel or how they deal with it. God does, and through us He can show how wonderful HE is to others, show how mighty, powerful, loving and understanding He is, people just need to trust and have faith in Him! 'Tis harder for some and not so hard for others. Some people may realize they need Jesus as soon as they hear God's word spoken, others it may take YEARS to hear God's word for them to FINALLY realize they need Him. For those, they need to throw out anything that tells them negative or untrue thoughts of God, because they may not have a few years to think over everything! Nobody is promised tomorrow, the next hour or even minute. We are to live our lives like there is no tomorrow!

All that to say, the power of prayer is greater than anyone knows. Praying for one person, may turn into a domino affect and help many others to Christ, or through hard times just by our one act of faithful praying. Don't ever doubt it.
